  1. We should not be surprised at the counterfits coming out because of the relatively high prices on the Kindle. Any one want a Folex or a Jucci Bag? (spelling is wrong on purpose) I think most people are smart enough to avoid knock-off and since you can only buy Kindle and the Nook directly from the retailers Amazon and Barnes & Noble, I think Sony and the smaller players might have a bigger problem than Amazon.
    E-Book retailers have a much larger problem - illegal downloading and hacking of e-Books which could really damage their business.
